Baton Rouge Fire Department

In April 2023, United Diagnostic Services (UDS) conducted health screenings for the Baton Rouge Fire Department, involving a group of 39 participants, all of whom were male. The results of these screenings shed light on important health indicators.

Among the firefighters, 16 out of 39 (41%) were identified as having at least one actionable finding that necessitated further attention. The screenings revealed a total of 29 actionable findings across various organ types. Among these, 3 findings (10%) were categorized as “High-Risk,” further emphasizing the crucial role of early detection. The findings were distributed across different organ categories as follows:

• Hetero Atrophy – 1 case

Gallbladder Category – 4 Total Findings

• Gallstone – 2 cases
